Mine is under the driver passenger floorboard it's in the car. This is what I'm using on the fordor, I had a very long good cable from some parts boxes and used it for my ground dis-connect.

I have the end through a bolt in the frame that also has ground to the starter and engine, hope this helps and let us know how you make out Don.
