There should be no problem in registering a car with an out of state title in Massachusetts. You can register with regular license plates at a higher insurance cost than registering it as an antique vehicle with some restrictions on its use. If you choose antique registration you can choose to use plates issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles with the word Antique on them, or you can provide your own Year of Manufacture plate which must be a number not already in use and legible at 60 feet in its original paint. Massachusetts has compulsory insurance so your first step is with your insurance agency, and the insurance company makes out and signs the RMV application form for your plates. If your present insurance company does business in Massachusetts you could keep the same insurance carrier you now have. We have an active Cape Cod Model A Club affiliated with both MARC and MAFCA.
