I believe " period correct" would be the new boss from 3rd gen and brake line tubing. Thats how anybody would have added a filter in those days, and of the dozen or so motors I have played with, thats how they were plumbed up. The only time I have ever seen the banjo fitting was for the timing cover edition. Not the norm I believe. Good on you for wishing to add a filter, how can it not be good for your car?
