Thanks, cas3. I appreciate the advice. I hope to have the new part in the next few days and I'll be sure to inspect it and "clean it up" as needed. I've never actually replaced the dipstick boss before, so, I'll be doing a little "on the job training" removing the existing one and properly attaching the new one with its gasket and 3 rivets.
