I also have these brake energizers/floaters, as pictured below, that I've removed from stock '37 Ford brake backing plate assemblies. I have never seen these on any '36 Fords that I've worked on, but maybe they started using these in very late '36. These floaters look nearly identical to Flathead Ted's brake floaters that I've installed a couple times in friends '35's.
I'm planning to try these stock '37 floaters in a '35 coupe, and see how they work.
