I was in a Sears tool store north of Chicago, and they had the best spring assortment I've ever seen. I found the perfect match there and posted the information here some years ago. A search might turn up the information, otherwise I'll have to find my spring again. Since you have the cover and switch, I'd take them to the hardware store and find a spring that fits. You might get lucky.
