You should get a copy of the Service Bulletins. There s a section that describes the various bendix drives and their application. I have an Oct 28 Leaterback with the original special service drive and I cannot use the 5/8 inch starter. My multidisk clutch works great. If yours is functional I would not change it. Supergnat.
