Hey John, you are absolutely correct however, it has been my experience that it is much easier to take a
"long weekend" than to take the
entire work week off, to attend a non-work related event.
Remember, you can't please everyone all the time but, those of us that are still working have to make choices and, when you look at most automotive related events, they do take place over a weekend, most likely to accommodate those that work but would like to attend, and to insure maximum attendance...
That's the primary reason we schedule the
Florida "Barner's Bash" over a three day weekend and, as you can attest, the event has grown in attendance every year so, we must be doing something right...
