I'm about to install the wind up glass in the doors of my 48. Any tips on the best way to get the glass in?

I could try different ways by "trial and error" but why risk scratching the pane when you can ask the experts and do it right first time. I couldn't do that 25 years when I restored my last car. The problem is with old age comes "Craft disease" ( can't remember a F...n thing") so I can't remember how it I did the job last time.

Any help appreciated.
