I bought a little shop manual for 42 to 48 cars and trucks. Nice book, didn't cost much. But there is a lot more info in my old MOTOR manuals. I think the oldest one I have is 1950, don't know when that familiar format began. A 1950 manual has a lot of applicable info for my 40s pickup.
