Default Re: Removing Engine from '40 Ford Question

Is it necessary? Removing the radiator and hood makes life way easy. Like the Duece
said unbolt manifolds and leave it -better than fooling with nasty exhaust always frozen
pipe bolts. The hood not heavy just two people each with a wrench = hood over your
shoulders no damage done. Whatever do not remove engine and transmission with
the common cherry picker cause it will take a nose dive unless you have the high end
picker that the front wheels slide way out or you need somebody to stand on the picker
back, that turns this into three people one to stand on it and two to pull it out LOL
Thats a chain fall job. sam
