The graphite 'Best Gasket' (referred to by others here) is the one recommended to me by a respected engine rebuilder. He indicated that the silicone-impregnated one, although seductively modern with its looks, has been found to leak prematurely (as, indeed, also indicated by others here). He also mentioned that some have had good experiences with the silicone-impregnated gasket, but that good experience has not been consistent.
