Sleeves aren´t that badly priced...think i pay just north of $20 a piece...it´s the work involved that ad up to the final pricetag...
So if you can bore it yourself it will be a nice project with not to much cash involved.
I have made one -36 LB engine with threaded sleaves to get to some serious displacement and i still remember the pain in the rear...
Installing inserts in the block for smaller diam studs to stay out of the bore...Milling threads in the block with the CNC mill...Custom threaded sleeves...not going to happen again unless someone brings a serious amount of beer and steak...tricky so called friends has their ways...
