The minimum wage in Connecticut in 1961 was $1.15. In 2018 it is up to $10.10.

A $25,000.00 house in 1961 could be a $250,000.00 house today just with inflation.
My parents bought my first Model A in 1962 for $200.00. I would today consider it a low end driver. It was all orginal.
If we still owned it today, in the same condition, I would never sell it for $2,000.00. Mostlikely somewhere it the $9,000.00 to $11,000.00 range.
I think over the last 50 years, they have exceeded inflation. Just my humble opinion.
