I would agree that the first thing is a draw, so, the first question is always, has a check for a draw been done ?
To check, just disconnect a battery cable and install your test light between the unhooked cable and battery post and see if the light comes on. If it does there is a draw. Then just keep disconnecting things until the light goes out, thats the draw.
Usually on an 'A', its the brake switch or interior light.
