My 1928 Tudor has these hooks. I use them a lot at shows. Especially when parked next to a modern V8 with all the chrome and hood open. I love the comments from the public.
When I show my cars, they always have the hood and doors open. Kids of all ages are encouraged to look and TOUCH!
I would love to have a dollar for every kid that has been photographed in one of my vehicles. Maybe this would be a good way to raise money for my favourite charity.
