The photo posted on the HAMB shows a profile shot, I'd like to see the front end. Regardless, without seeing the "documentation" a Standard grille and hood could have been added at any time.
The numbers I have access to show 4101 85 hp, 114 95 hp and 722 60 hp built, all Deluxe.
The same source, Lorin Sorensen's "The Commercial Fords" has the production numbers for 1940 Panel Deliveries shown as incomplete. Two things come to mind- the 112" wheelbase Panel used the Standard car grille and headlamp doors both painted body color and also Sorensen (RIP) is considered to have been an excellent researcher. Could those 740 Standards have in actuality been 112" wb Panel Deliveries?
