Default Re: My new 1939 Sedan Delivery!

Thank you everyone... I am overly excited!
I had never seen a 39 like this before either... Always had a thought of wanting a 39 standard coupe for a daily driver...and have always loved sedan deliveries in general... so best of both worlds!

My plans are to "mostly" restore it..
It will look totally stock on the outside.. probably the same Jefferson blue.. blackwall 6.00 or 6.50 tires, etc....

But some changes I have in mind are:
- Some sort of a trailer hitch to tow a roadster or racecar.
- Lincoln brakes
- possible some sort of overdrive, (lincoln trans, mitchel or columbia)
- likely build a 100 horse motor for it.. 59ab or earlier merc... possibly with 2 carbs
- probably a 40 sway bar on the front and possibly a panhard bar on the rear

I really would like to use this as a daily driver when the weather suites here in PA... so a few nods towards economy and a drive-ability especially incase I tow a trailer

Nothing will be done to it that couldn't have been done during the time it was originally on the road... so... pre 1948 (aside from the possible mitchel)

I am sure glad I got it before Hershey so I can take a list and hunt down some of the parts I need....
- rear door lock cylinder (same as side doors)
- Drivers door... (same as 4dr)
- rear door lower hinge
- etc....

thanks for all the replies
Zach
