If the anchor adjustment is off, they will wear faster and uneven, at either the top (anchor in to far) or the bottom (anchor out to far).

The way to set them up, is to adjust the anchor first, with the top adjustment in, adjust the anchors out, until you feel drag, back off slightly (or ,010 / .030), lock in place and then adjust the upper cam.
