I don't think you really want to bolt an 8BA to a regular engine stand with the BOLT-ON half bell still attached. That's too much weight and leverage hanging-off of that stand only SUPPORTED ON ONE END. That Clayborne stand supports BOTH ends. The pic below shows what can happen when an earlier engine is bolted to the stand at the rear end ONLY...and the bellhousing BREAKS under the weight. Do yourself a favor, unbolt the bolt-on half bell from your 8BA, and bolt the block to the stand like you would a Chevy, for instance. That's perfectly safe! DD





Another one that the bell broke and ended-up on the ground.
