Some folks use JB Weld to seal a sleeve. There are other products as well. If the cylinder wall had a hole or crack in it then that may be part of where the leak is coming from. Folks have been pinning blocks with cast iron pins for years but it's one of those things that has a learning curve to it. That sleeve shouldn't have come loose whether it was sealed or not so it really should be replaced with a tighter fitting part.
