I have sent them pictures of original pattern. They seem to like what you have better.
Ther are a few original method woodgrain people that do have the correct plate.

I understand what you're saying but it is a burl pattern all the same just blurred with ink from the factory to cover their blend lines making it look extremely cloudy. I have seen original wood graining over the years that i have been graining and my supplier on my plates has the closest match. It might not be the same exact plate they used in 1932 but show me where you can find one, because i would be interested. I cant see a photo where you sent it. Not sure what happened on my end when i tried pulling it up. Could you send it to me in an email
