Default Re: Lincoln brakes on the front of a Ford?

Thanks Mart, I just couldn't bring myself to do that...

Aside from brake fade with heat with the drums that the disc's wouldn't have... I'm thinking that the tire contact area will be the limiting factor more so then the actual brakes.
I could be wrong...

This won't be an all time vehicle strictly for towing a trailer... just to certain events throughout the year.

We have a modern truck that I can tow with, even a more modern trailer that has brakes.
To me, the joy in all of this will be towing a period accurate race car to the racetrack with an entirely period accurate rig. Wearing an old open helmet, strapped in with a WWII seat belt, kick up some dirt and go back home.
I have yet to get my time machine working... so this will be as close as I can get.

Here's a video that may show what I mean... imagine this with the entire day's journey in 1948, not just the few laps on the track!
