Default Re: Ball Bearing

Direct from the KYK China Shandong factory horse's mouth:
"The material we mainly using Include high Carbon Steel GCR11."
"Quality level: reach the same level as the Japanese and European bearings"
"Tolerance level: ABEC-1 (P0)"
(P0 is sloppy, P6 is extremely tight)
"Noise Level: EMQ V1 Z2"
(V1 = worst vibration on 1-4 scale, Z2 = noise on 1-4 scale)

Certainly no winner on a quality scale, but probably a good match for an 80 year old tranny running low speeds and filled with 600 oil. I'd mic the I.D., O.D., and width carefully. If that checks out clean out the junk grease it is packaged with in a clean container with new solvent and look for grinding fines in the solvent. Then decide if you're happy with it.
