Default Re: Air conditioning in a open car

In the north country, folks drive their model As in the spring, summer, and fall then put them up for the winter. Here in Texas, folks drive their cars in the fall, winter, and spring then put them up for the summer. That's how I've been doing it for the last 35 years or so since I moved to south Texas. There will be a few cool fronts go through in the summer but not too many. From the middle of July through the end of September, it's hot as Hades but it cools off in October. Nights aren't too bad as long as your generator is up to it for the headlamps.

If a person starts thinking about AC, they also have to think about 12-volt systems & enough amperage output to keep all that stuff running. There is nothing simple about these type of conversions.
