I have not seen the Carb. marked "67 over 97" From what I have seen the 67 is marked nowhere near the 97. The 67 was used on passenger vehicles.

IMO: Ford rebuilt carburetors and exchanged the Ford carburetor as a core for a rebuilt. Prior to 35 there rebuilding program had problems with Non-Ford parts being taken in as cores. The Stromberg 97 was used on other auto Mfg. cars The addition of the 1936 Ford part number prefix helped to identify the 36 Ford Carb. The addition of 48 to the 1935 Carb. identified the 35 Ford Carb.
