Yep, I recall that day in New York quite well. Your Dad was one neat guy. I really enjoyed my time with him.
Deluge? That word describes quite well the rain we had...
I did have a freshly done '39 wagon "in the mix". After the rain, a lot of effort to clean it... you know the routine If I recall correctly, the car did 998 so I was pleased.
