at most 1000 miles then i went to synthetic.
My pretty knowledgeable friend says break in oil should be for at least 800 miles. i put in quart of Lucas pure petroleum oil and 4 quarts of 30 weight non detergent...it seems to smoke alot less now, but not 100% clear. I'll keep on driving and see how it goes. The motor never has lost performance, and it doesnt smoke on the highway.Just smokes as it builds combustion / switching gears or revving.
