It could be Old black dirty oil in flywheel housing if the hole in bottom of housing is plugged.

There should be a large cotter pin that Ford installed sticking out of the hole that should wiggle around to keep hole open to drain oil. If it does not wiggle or is missing, the hole might be plugged with dirt.
