Like the guys have said, Tape over all sharp edges.
Make sure you have extra shipping info on the fender,
in case the original comes off during shipping.
I received 2 front fenders(1947 Merc.) from Colorado to Illinois via Greyhound,
the stainless on the fenders had road rash on it, and one fender had lost it's address
info.
