Do not drill holes if your engine is NOT pressurized to the rods. If you have holes in the dipper tray they will not hold oil after the engine is shut off. Every time you start the engine, the big ends of the rods will not get any oil until the oil pump re-fills the dipper troughs. The cam cylinder bores and pins will not receive any slash until the troughs are full.
