Default Re: 5.50 x 19 Radials

Hi Joe,

FWIW:

Coker's website listed Excelsior Stahl Sport Radial 19" Tires, with Coker recommended "Radial" tube individual prices as follows; however, "if" one wants a set of five (5) new Coker radial tires & (5) new Coker radial tubes:

A. Five (5) Coker Radial 55019 (SKU: 741771) tires @ $271.00 each = $1,355.00

B. Five (5) Coker Radial 50019 (SKU: 741761) tires @ $253.00 each = $1,265.00

C. Five (5) Coker Radial 500/600-TR-150 (SKU: 86431) tubes, with 3-5/8" long center rubber stems @ $46.00 = $230.00

D. Five (5) Coker Radial 500/600-TR-150 tubes with custom provided shorter 1-1/2" long vulcanized metal stems added by Coker @ $61.00 each = $305.00

E. Most expensive combination for a five (5) tire set is with Coker's 550R19 radial tires and Coker added center vulcanized metal stem on Coker radial tubes is from above A + D = $1,355.00 + $305.00 = $1,660.00.

My Canadian B. F. Goodrich tires on my 1930 Town Sedan are over 40 years old, hard as a rock, not flexible, & have very little wear because this car was in collectors' heated garages for over 30 years.

When trying to compare $1,660.00 for new Model A radial tires ...... to trying to restore a possible totaled Model A after a 40 year old bias tire blow out .......... plus, maybe possible hospital and/or funeral cost ..... plus cost for the party after the funeral which we will not attend ..... it is no wonder some neighbors think we are whatever some neighbors think we are.
