Remove the adjusting screw mechanism completely and you can push the seat back at least a couple more inches until it hits the floor. If that's not enough add some flat washers between the rails and the seat to raise it up a little and you can slide it back even more. Worked for me (6'3"). The rails are pretty tight so my seat will not move out of position with the adjuster removed.
