Someone had butchered mine in the same way. I put a bolt in with a lock nut to hold the bolt in place without tightening it up against the oil pump. I then got an oil pan plug gasket and installed it between the nut and the block. No more leaks! You can then use the bolt when needed to hold the oil pump in place if you are removing the oil pan. Just loosen the lock nut and snug up the bolt enough to hold the pump. Do not over tighten, I don't know if it can happen but I would be afraid of doing damage to the pump housing.
