I am so pleased with my engine and transmission rebuild from
Schwalm's. My engine was picked up by a shipper on September 9. It took two days to get there and I just received my rebuilt engine with new Babbitt and transmission on October 25th.
Talk about turn around, 32 business days!
Here is everything I had done:
- Rebuild Model A Long Block (1931)
- New 5.5:1 Cylinder Head
- Balance Engine Components - Crank, Rods, Pistons
- Counterbalanced Crankshaft
- Performance Intake Valves
- Type 1 Lightened Flywheel/V8 Pressure Plate
- New Clutch Disc
- New Camshaft
- Install Cam Bearings
- Machine for Oversize Tappets
- Resurface Manifold Side of Block
- Water Pump
- Transmission Gear Box Rebuild
- Shifter Tower
- Bell Housing/Peddles
- Seal Shifter Shafts
- Bell Housing Bolts
- Helicoils in 5 head studs
They kept me up-to-date through emails and phone calls. Excellent service.
I am beyond excited to try starting her up later this week once I get it installed.
EDIT: Added to original post to make it easier to find:
I was able to get everything put back together after work last night. Here is the video of the first start!
