Hi Mike,

Just one (1) humble opinion, similarly offered many times on past Model A Forums:

I had an operable, functioning, original Model A vacuum wiper on my 1930 Coupe (60) years ago, and also several original, functioning 6 volt electric Model A wipers for my 1930 Town Sedan.

They all work about as well as attaching a large goose feather to a dog's tail, let him face the wind, and reach out to pet him while it it raining to insure keeping his tail wagging. Vacuum wipers almost stop when one accelerates to pass a car while raining.

After calling a favorite knowledgeable Model A parts supplier about the cheaper, new wipers, (the one where the window cannot be opened fully), he was kind enough to let me know this new one that is listed in his catalog is about as efficient as tying (2) goose feathers to a dog's tail.

No doubt "any" type of wiper is best to have on one's Model A, after going before a lawyer and a jury, after an accident in the rain; however, unless one wants to spend over $370.00, Rain-X is about the best Model A accessory since Viagra was offered to seniors who function about as poorly as all of the original Model A electric or vacuum wipers.

A wonderful Model A "Life Safety" feature is to carry a plastic spray bottle of Rain-X windshield cleaner on every trip. Smashed bugs, rain, road grime, whatever ..... especially for occasional night driving.

Just hope this helps anyone in the future looking for wiper solutions and "Life Safety".
