Redundant backups. hard drives are cheap.
Timemachine works like a recover disk, but saves all your current information on a external/private disc or solid state memory device. A recovery disk with all your info.
A decade ago we used a dat tape backup of network computers every night. Took all night for the tapes to take in a few hundred gigs. Now a terabyte on a solid state drive through usb3 takes minutes.
