I assume you know that those transmissions were not synchronized into 1st or Reverse gears. The vehicle must come to a stop before you can shift into those.
The synchro for Second and High gears may be getting worn and not doing its job well, particularly after the gear oil warms up. Try the 140 gear oil to see if that helps a bit. Also, make double sure that your clutch is properly adjusted. A dragging clutch will cause those symptoms also.
