I just travelled through Canada, entering in Michigan and exiting into New York, pulling my car on a trailer. It had year of manufacture plates on the car (1931) and I had all of the documentation of license and title, Insurance etc., but at neither crossing was I asked for any documents. Perhaps just lucky or random checks and I was not selected.
