Brendan, I bought a '39 shift knob last June at the Gettysburg, Pa meet. Put it on my '35 Fordor just to see how it would feel shifting with a larger knob. While driving on the meet tour, the transmission popped out of second gear so hard that the center piece of the knob flew out. Somehow it wound up in the back of the car on the floor
. Just snapped it back in place and kept on rolling.
