I have the answer to your surprise. You posted in a forum used for questions "To The Editors". Very few people read this (except the editors) and even fewer respond. You should post here:

Now to your question. The switches designed for 6 volts should work fine since the 6 volt systems require more amps. I am not sure if you will get the correct readings from the oil pressure and temp switches, you might post that question.
