When I was 15 I was building a racing hydroplane boat powered by a V8-60 and when I turned 16 in 1953 driving became more important so the hydroplane project was sold and I bought a '31 coupe and a '46 coupe. I chopped and channeled the '31 and installed the frame X member, engine, and hydrolic brakes from the '46. The project was a labor of love guided by articles from Hot Rod & Hop Up and the love of that car along with the sound made me a flathead V-8 fan for life.
