Default Re: Head Gasket

I've reused the copper head gaskets on my own Model A's. As long as the same head goes back on the same block, and the gasket looks OK, then I clean it and spray a couple coats of Copper Coat on the gasket, and bolt it together. Torque a few times as required and keep check on my antifreeze. I never had a problem doing this, but would not do it on a customer's car without their OK first. It's a gamble, but it also saves me the cost of a new head gasket, which is about $25.
