My drums are marked 12.090 and I really wasn’t concerned when I got them as I needed the drums to make the axle I have a roller. But figure may as well do what I can now instead of taking things apart later.

I would be interested in the answer. '46-'48 are designed to seat on the drum behind the hub flange. The stud heads rest on the inside of the pressed steel center section of the drum and them swedged to the inside (facing car) hub flange.

'40 style hubs have the drum on the outside part of the hub flange.

I wonder if the '46-'48 would be OK with a different drum placed outside of the hub flange like a '40 does.
