Henry, thanks. I was thinking about getting one of those Sears "one size fits all" sockets but, John and I used a metric socket (helped it get on with a ball peen hammer) and backed it out with the ratchet... surprisingly, it came out without much of a fight. As soon as the new sending unit arrives (from Joblot) I’ll install it.
