on a normal 32 axle set up the ball bearing is on top of the spindle, then the brake cup above that.should be very little gap between the axle boss and the spindle, and thin shims were included in the king pin set. many folks cut the brake cup off and fill it with weld then grind it smooth. or, you get a 37 and up king pin and cut the bottom off to match the length of the 32. any will work if you match the notch for the locating pin to your 32
