I have not seen Betsy in person, but remember that show cars of that era were different.

Before the Judging Standards specified that a Model A should look like it just rolled off the assembly line, they tended to be over-restored.

We had a club member who had a black coupe that had restoration work performed by George Webster.

George Webster was a perfectionist, and everything he worked on had a mirror finish. There were no parting lines and everything was mirror smooth and high gloss. If you looked at the side of the cylinder block, you could see your reflection.

Over-restored Model A's lost a lot of value due to the Judging Standards and that may be why MAFFI is looking for a new owner.
