Sadly for semi-accomplished woodworkers such as myself, the top wood plan HAS NOT made it to "open source."

And I agree. Pricing of what amounts to a handful of hardwood sticks is a little outa sight.

This is too bad. My 29 CC pickup has top wood done by the former owner and he obviously worked to the wood he removed - but in PINE. Which has served well for the 40 years I've owned the truck - but is not original. Were it maple it would please me.

Were it possible, someone could send me at my cost their removed original wood and I would engineer a top wood diagram using my cab as the go-no go gauge?

It would benefit the hobby - but perhaps not the vendors.
