I have seen what I call "coupesters" that were roadsters that had the quarters replaced with coupe quarters sometime in the past. If there are no welded up holes or reinforcement plates, that might have been what happened. Of course the profile of the quarters around the wheel well are very different, the coupe being fairly flat where the roadsters are curvy.
