Re: Why do you own a Model A?
In 1966 I restored a '29 Phaeton as it looked like a passport to girls, parties and fun fun fun! This got me involved in the Vintage Car Club and as time passed, I was attracted to more exotic cars culminating in two Lancia Lambdas. When each broke its crankshaft consecutively and it took 18 months and $10,000 each time to replace them, I yearned for the simplicity of the old Model A and its readily available and reasonably priced spare parts.
Since building a speedster we have enjoyed the fellowship of the New Zealand Model A community and are very happy to be back amongst fellow Model A enthusiasts
